Big Wave Surfing Pictures - Extreme Scene!

This sequence is from Big Wednesday, January 28, 1998, the day that closed the Bay. Troy Alotis gets towed in by Briley and pulls in a huge section. Unfortunately, the wave sectioned with a little help from the ski.

Troy said that he got "rag dolled" when the section came down and rolled under water for quite a while.

Troy is an electrician and pulls in huge barrels just for fun.

There's plenty action out there in this session with all the choppers and skis and surfers.

Check this unidentified rider narrowly escaping this exploding lip.

It is amazing that he made it through the exploding lip and whitewater.

You can barely see the rider in the flats of the shot there on the left- huge nuts.
